Last week, Chad planted grass and that is slowly coming up.  Having grass is something I never knew I loved so much in my life. It filled up the palm of my hand and weighed in at 4 oz.  Our biggest one yet!   Most of our eggs are 2oz'ers.  Bigger ones at 3oz's and the smallest are about 1oz each.  Which is funny because our biggest hen, Buffy (a Buff Orphington of course) lays the teeniest eggs out of every one. Well...........they provide shade that's for sure, but they grew the wrong way and provide little shade for the chickens lol.  The kids DO love them and they are the one thing (besides the zucchini) which have been totally unphased by this years weather. The local berry patch is open for business and last week; Jack, Clay, Oliver, and myself headed over to pick some berries.  The weather was great, not too hot or humid, but it had rained earlier and it was MUDDY.  No big deal, we got our berries then were able to come home and get cleaned up :)We picked a tad bit over 14 lbs in about an hour. It was a little chilly that morning, but we dressed up warm and really enjoyed the day.  There was so much to do and see and we were glad that we got a chance to come. First the boys made some binoculars. I took the boys a creek about 1/2 mile from our house, Jack Creek.  Jack loves that he shares a name with the creek also haha.  Mic wonders if there is a Creek named after him somewhere, I tell him probably somewhere in Australia lol.Anyways, we went down there and spent about an hour exploring and walking around. Why do we buy our children their own beds!?!?Mic has been waiting a very long time for his own room for one main reason.  His own computer.  So spoiled, huh?
